Boxwell and STREPPEL Announce Strategic Partnership
Partnership brings together Boxwell’s manufacturing and engineering capabilities with STREPPEL’s established presence across the European self-storage market
Boxwell, a global manufacturer and distributor of storage solutions, has entered into a strategic partnership with STREPPEL, a leading European specialist in foldable, insulated relocatable storage containers.
The partnership combines Boxwell’s manufacturing, engineering and product development capabilities with STREPPEL’s extensive experience and established presence throughout the European self-storage market. STREPPEL’s storage solutions can currently be found at approximately 300 locations across Europe, spanning markets from Norway and Iceland to Spain.
Since 2018, STREPPEL has worked to establish relocatable storage as a standard option for European self-storage operators alongside conventional construction. As the company began developing its next generation of relocatable storage containers, finding a partner with direct control over production and engineering became a priority.
Boxwell’s manufacturing capabilities provided that opportunity.
Together, the two companies developed a new generation of STREPPEL’s foldable, fully insulated storage container. While maintaining the proven concept behind the existing system, Boxwell and STREPPEL introduced several improvements to the build, including a reinforced roof, thicker steel throughout and redesigned partition walls engineered to be both stronger and quicker to install.
The collaboration ultimately led the companies to establish a long-term strategic partnership, effective September 2026.

The new generation of STREPPEL containers made its debut at the SSA UK Show in April 2026. Since then, the first facilities featuring the new system have been delivered in the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany and Sweden.
The system will next be on display at the FEDESSA Conference & Trade Show 2026, taking place September 22–24 at the RheinMain Congress Center in Wiesbaden, Germany. Attendees can visit STREPPEL and Boxwell at Booth 8 to learn more about the partnership and see the new generation firsthand.
The containers are available for purchase or through an operating lease, giving independent self-storage operators an additional option for expanding capacity without additional capital investment. European operators can contact STREPPEL for purchasing and leasing options or to arrange a visit to a facility where the new generation is already in operation.
