Boxwell Team Member in the Spotlight

With a strong business model, a solid team, and a sustainable work environment, we work to help our customers succeed. And we know that our best asset is our team of employees. Read on for our latest team spotlight where you can get to know more about Jason Chadwick.

At Boxwell, we talk a lot about company culture. It’s important for the Boxwell team to be a cohesive group of individuals who works to help our customers succeed. We have joy and respect for each other. Additionally, we share an enthusiasm for being a part of something special. This group of smart, creative, witty, and personable go-getters is pretty darn amazing. Undoubtedly, each one of us is proud of what we do. And while most of us are outgoing and easy to talk with, there are some surprising details about each team member that you may not know.

At Boxwell, we build every one of our custom storage units from pure innovation, ingenuity, and integrity. Our products are solid and speak for themselves. But our best asset is the Boxwell team of employees. Therefore, we invite you to get to know us even better with another employee spotlight. Let us introduce you to Boxwell team member, Jason Chadwick. Our operations and installation specialist was born and raised in beautiful Colorado. He enjoys the hard work and traveling involved with his job. When not on the road, Jason loves writing and recording his own music and spending time with his wife, Tara Lynn, and their three daughters (Hailee Lynn 8 yrs, Emma Leslie 4 yrs, and Brooklyn Rose 4 months).

We asked Jason a few questions to help you get a better idea of who he is, for example, when he’s not working:

Something most people don’t know about me is I love writing and recording my own music.  I have notebooks full of song concepts and new ideas that I hope to get time to lay out in my home studio.

Perspective. If I am having a bad day, I like to take a step back. Once I look at the entire situation, I remind myself that it could be worse. Overall, I am grateful for what I have.

If I was forced to completely change my career, I would love to run my own music studio. Helping other artists create their masterpiece and having a hand in the creative process would be awesome!!!

I am torn on this one. If I could vacation anywhere, I want to go to Sweden, Alaska, or Thailand. It is hard to pick just one! If I were only bringing a backpack, I would need a toothbrush, a charging battery pack, deodorant, some fresh socks, and a ton of snacks.

I wanted to be a space cowboy. Although, that’s a lot harder than I originally anticipated. Otherwise, building boxes was a close second!

Since I love movies, picking just one would be unfair. For example, here are some that I could watch over and over:

– King Fu Panda
– Around the World in 80 Days
– Journey to the Center of the Earth
– Chronicles of Riddick
– The Grinch (with Jim Carey)

So, how did the Boxwell team become the perfect mix of employees? We hire candidates based on their talents and personalities. Because that seems obvious! But it’s common to hire someone whose resume is the only thing that fits the job. Instead, we look at the full picture. Potential employees who look good on paper may not be the best fit for your desired culture. We focus on hiring people who are optimistic and confident. Unquestionably, positive energy along with a desired skillset is optimal.

Moreover, it’s a good idea to seek out a team with a variety of ages, genders, ethnicities, and talents. It’s amazing what we can all learn from each other. Similarly, it’s key to choose employees who are in line with your company’s mission. Each of your employees has unique strengths and skills. Be sure to find your employees’ talents and use them to your advantage. At Boxwell, we are so lucky to have found such a solid group of employees. We hope it shows in the work we do!

At the core, Boxwell uses a hands-on approach to business that is carried throughout everything we do. When we need to talk, we pick up the phone. If there are questions, we demo our product. And when we’re intrigued with something new, we give it a try. If a team member needs help, we offer it. When our community needs support, we lend our resources. With compassion and innovative ways of “thinking outside of the box,” anything is possible. That’s our culture.

When building Boxwell, Rod Bolls set out to create a company that prioritizes a balance between working hard and playing hard. He aligns a strong business model with a strong team and a sustainable work environment. To achieve an ideal company culture, Rod nurtures every relationship. For example. this includes customers, partners, vendors, local non-profits, neighborhood sports teams, and museums.
